I watched the Being Human season 2, teaser preview, which was offered by BBC America On-Demand, through my local cable provider. The 28 minute episode was full of drama, humor and the setting up of plot lines. I will break down this mini episode by character and prepare you for season 2.
Mitchell (Vampire) – Mitchell’s “human” life has become both mundane and quite unchallenged. Herrik is dead and the vampire revolution seems now to be waning. Mitchell has control over his blood-lust and continues his efforts to appear human. He is however reminded that he is not human, by vampires who have returned to the area. They have come to witness the power struggle that will ensue do to Herrick’s untimely death. Oddly enough however they are not concerned by Mitchell at all, the are far more interested in George “the dog” who killed Herrik.
George (Werewolf) – George is dealing with repeated attacks from local vampires, who are seeking either revenge or to make a name for themselves. He is currently unaware that his troubled girlfriend Nina is now a werewolf. She was scratched by George in season one’s finally, while he was transforming. George struggles with his new-found, unwanted, vampire notoriety, and a girlfriend who seems to be growing distant.
Annie (Ghost) – Annie is now more corporeal and wants to get a job at the local pub. She feels alive, wants to get out of the house, and play human as well. She is also aware of Nina’s condition and has been proving her support and a friendly ear. Annie agrees to join Nina on her first transformation so she is not alone.
Meanwhile, in a secret laboratory, a man known as Kemp is performing experiments upon supernaturals. His agenda is unclear and as the episode ends he is quite anxious to see the results of his latest experiment.
I am excited to see what is going to happen this season on Being Human. Who knew it was hard to be a monster and to be human.
